Because 1ha is very big, we needed to go outside and walked along the school fence.

27th Sep. English Training

English Training

I observed one teachers class. It was a good class work. Recently I’m thinking that I have a lot of things to learn as a teacher especially for teaching skill. Actually I have a lot of great experiences which normal teacher cannot experience forever (for example, volunteer activities in a developing country.) yet on the other hand; I don’t have experiences which usually teachers have. Anyway, I will do my best from now.

I’m very happy because I can eat school lunches every day.

After school, I checked a swimming pool. I have a place that I have to repair. I took photos of it and will send the photos to a trader.

Because I finished swimming class and stopped adding chemicals to clean the swimming pool up, it’s getting dirtier ever day. It can’t be helped.

Around 7:30, I visited the church where our ALT teacher, Joy, belongs to. It was her English class. Her instruction is marvelous and I’d like an opportunity to speak English to improve my poor English, so I will continue to join the class.

23rd Sep. One year has passed 1

One year has passed

One year has passed since I came back from Tonga after 2-year volunteer activity. Oh time really flies. I hope that everyone in Tonga is doing well.
By the way, I was supposed to write my blog once in a month after I came back to Japan, but actually it amounts about 250 articles…it means I am writing blog twice in three days. Am I man of leisure?

I looked back upon my Tongan life, and then…

I set fire to my handmade pudding. It was dreamy.

I’m in charge of jumping rope club activity in my school. I made its replica for my students. I hope they like it.

Around 4:30, I went to school. I have a lot of things to do; Japanese life is very busy…

22nd Sep. Handmade

Handmade

Do you buy new one when you finished the ink cartridges of a PC printer? It costs 900 yen (US$10) for each color so it amounts more than US$50 for all. I can refill it myself; it takes me only 30 minutes and costs only 250 yen (US$3) for all of cartridges. In Tonga, one cartridge costs more than US$50…Crazy!!

Because I was so busy, I made pudding. Next time I’d like to make it from scratch.

Thanks to the IH cooking heater, I can make pork cutlet very well. This cooking stove can keep cooking oil at a fixed temperature.

In the afternoon, I went for an aggressive walk along the Tagawa river.

I bought a lot of Japanese sweets here. I like this shop “Kochouan”

19th Sep. Burning Pudding (3)

Burning Pudding (3)

I received a bill of my mobile phone and was surprised. The bill, which I used my mobile in America, was more than US$150! Oh man!! The total sum amounted more than 230 (usually it’s US$60). I should not have used a roaming service. I should have used only Wifi function. Oh my goodness…

At last I succeeded to make a pudding catch fire.

The lipuid was whisky.

I found the new Chinese restaurant in Matsumoto city.  As far as I know, the head shop is in Suwa city and I have been there once. Although I was not hungry, next time I’ll come here and order garlic noodles.

On the way to Iida, I visited Komagane where I took the JICA volunteer training for 65 days in 2009.

There is a  traffic lights and street named Kyouryokutai (volunteers) near KTC (Komagane Training Center). I looked back upon my life in Komagane.
 KTC(駒ヶ根トレーニングセンター)の近くには協力隊と名の着く信号や通りがあります。

What a old container.

I met Mizuho and Hiroe. I started working at my primary school with Mizuho in 2005. She will give birth soon, so she is in her home town with her family.

Hiroe showed me her travel book of Tonga. She came to Tonga and called on me in 2010.

We ate many Japanese sweets and talked a lot.
