「Meeting Again」
８月４日 再会だぞ
↑At 6:00 AM, I departed LA to San
Luis Obispo, Melissa’s place.
６時にLAからMelissa先生の家があるSan Luis Obispoへ向かいました。
↑Around 11, I met Melissa at last. Oh
long time no see!
11時頃,Melissa先生と再会しました。お～久しぶり～。
↑I was invited to her house. There
are her special YAMANEKO’s in her room. Long time no see!
家に招かれました。彼女の部屋には特別バージョンの山ネコ達がいます。お～久しぶり～。
↑They asked me to translate it. Oh,
this is a piece of cloth, which our ancestor used to write down a message for
their relative who would go to the war, during the World War 2. Melissa’s
grandfather was a soldier so he might take it from somewhere.
翻訳して欲しいと言われました。何？？お～これは・・・戦争時代に戦場へ送る時に書く布ではないですか～。Melissa先生のおじいちゃんはアメリカ軍兵士で、きっと何処かから持ってきたのでしょう。
↑Her house has a swimming pool. Wow!
Melissa先生の家にはプールがあります。どひゃー
↑They are her dogs. The youngest one,
Rockey, really likes to jump into a pond.
Melissa先生の犬達です。一番若いRockey君は行けに飛び込むのが大好きです。
↑This is a guest room I stayed.
Luxurious!!
泊まらせてもらったゲストルームです。豪華です。
↑After the short break, we visited
the Pismo Beach. These are photos from a pier.
ちょっと休憩して、Pismoビーチという場所へ行きました。桟橋から撮った写真です。

↑We saw a sea otter, it was spinning
all the time.
ラッコです。ずっと回ってました・・・。
↑The Stars and Stripes is very cool! It’s
much better than the Japanese national flag.
星条旗はかっこいいですね～。日本のよりよっぽどいいです。
↑After that, we visited the butterfly
grove. It’s close to the Grover Beach train station.
その後、蝶の場所へ行きました。電車の駅の近くです。
↑In October, a great many butterflies
come together, but now it’s in August.
１０月にはたくさん集まるそうですが、今は８月です。
↑Following that, we didn’t buy
garlic, but bought strawberries.
その後、ニンニクを買わず・・・イチゴを買いました。
↑This is the high school, which
Melissa belonged to.
Melissa先生が通った高校です。
↑The scenery of town is similar to
Europe and New Zealand I think.
町の景色はヨーロッパやニュージーランドと似ています。

どうしたの？？？
↑Once we came back home, and then we
went out for dinner.
いったん家に戻って、夕食へ出かけました。
↑Sushi restaurant!!! When we were in
Tonga, we talked about sushi. America has a lot of sushi restaurant, but the
style is different. I needed to check it.
寿司レストランです。トンガにいた時寿司について話、アメリカにもたくさん寿司レストランがあるけど、スタイルが違うと・・・確かめる必要がありました。
↑The appearance is slightly
different, and…
外見は少し違います、そして・・・
↑This is the sushi with an avocado.
When I heard about it in Tonga, I could not believe it, because we don’t eat
rice and fruit at the same time in Japan.
Yet, it tasted very good. It tastes like….sea urchin!!!
In addition, American sushi has a
fire!!!!!!! Oh man!!!!!!!!!!!
寿司にアボカド・・・トンガでその話を聞いた時、信じられませんでした。日本では米とフルーツを同時に食べることはしませんから・・・。
でも食べてみたら結構いけるのです。ウニみたいでした。
加えて・・・アメリカの寿司は、火を噴きます。どっひゃーーーーーーー！！！！！！！！

↑Anyway, we had a very good time, and
I’m happy because a lot of American are very interested in Japanese food and
like it. I’m proud of Japanese food.
とにかく、楽しい時間だったのと、たくさんのアメリカ人が日本食に興味を持ってくれていて、それを好きであるということがわかったので、幸せです。日本食を誇りに思います。
After I came
back home, I went to bed right away, maybe because I slept for only 1 or 2
hours last night at the bus station.
家に帰ってから、すぐに寝ました。多分昨日はバス停で１，２時間しか寝ていないからでしょう。
