↑We participated in a dodge ball tournament in my school. Though we lost, my students did very well with following a strategy.

　ドッジボールのクラスマッチに参加しました。負けてしまいましたが作戦通りによくがんばりました。

28th May. Nothing Special

５月２８日　特にないぞ

 

↑It was cloudy almost all day long, so after folding clothes,

　ほぼ一日中天気が悪かったので、洗濯物をたたんだ後、

 

↑I was sleeping beside a window.

窓際で寝ていました。

 

↑Though I bought an iron plate for making “takoyaki”(an octopus ball cake) I failed to make it oh my goodness. I made fried rice with vegetable instead. It might be my new recipe.

たこ焼きプレートを買いましたが、うまく作れませんでした。変わりにチャーハンを作りました。それは新しいレシピだったかも知れません。

 

↑In the evening, I had my hair cut. It costs 1300 yen (US$14). It’s cheap I think, but Tongan barber is cheaper.

夜、散髪に行きました。１３００円で安いですが、トンガの散髪屋はもっと安かったです。

↑After that, I washed my car by washing machine for cars. I had nothing special today.

その後、機械で車を洗いました。今日は特別何もありませんでしたね～。

↑At Don Quixote (a very big general store), I bought the equipments which I wanted for a long time.

ドンキホーテで長い間欲しかった物を買いました。

 

↑I found the balance board (in the right) at the JICA dormitory in Tonga, but I couldn’t buy it for 2 years. At last I got it! It’s good for my ski training.

トンガのJICAオフィスでバランスボードを見つけましたが、２年間買えませんでした。遂に手に入れました。スキーのトレーニングに最適です。

 

↑Following that, I went for an aggressive walking to Gofuku-ji temple.

それから、牛伏寺へ攻撃的散歩に出かけました。

↑On the way, I took a country road. There was no people and car, but this is paved road.

途中に田舎道を通りました。人も車もありませんが、こんな田舎道でも舗装されています。すごいぞ日本！

↑This is one of my favorite Japanese sweet shop, Kochouan. I knew Azumino city has it, but it was my first time to find it in Matsumoto city.

胡蝶庵というお気に入りの和菓子店の１つです。安曇野市にあるのは知っていましたが、松本市で見つけるのは初めてでした。

 
 
 
↑Gofukuji-temple is historically famous in Nagano and it is related to Zenkouji-temple which is a national treasure.

牛伏寺は長野県では歴史的に有名な寺で、国宝善光寺と関わりがあります。

26th May. Basement

５月２６日　地下室だぞ

 

↑It was the day for school visitation on Saturday. Almost all of the parents could come together to observe our class.

今日は土曜参観日でした。ほとんどの親御さんが参観に訪れました。

 

↑After school, I explored under a swimming pool in my school. I drained the water out. We are supposed to wash the pool and fill it with new water. I have to prepare for a swimming class soon.

　放課後プールの下を探検して水を抜きました。プールを洗って新しい水を入れることになっております。間もなくプール授業の準備をしなければなりません。

25th May. My Repertoire

５月２５日　レパートリーだぞ

 

↑Although I’d like to add a new recipe to my repertoire I cannot. I may not be a man of leisure.　Anyway, my cream pasta is delicious.

新しいレシピを増やしたいのですができません。Torojiro先生は暇人ではないのかも知れません。まぁとにかくクリームパスタは美味しいのです！はい。

23rd May. Drum

「Drum」

５月２３日　太鼓だぞ

 

↑Occasionally, we invite performers as a class of the appreciation of music. Japanese people have to listen to the music quietly even if quiet parts continue. I remembered watching the Japanese drum and banjo in Tonga. The Japanese behavior is completely different from Tongan.

たまに鑑賞音楽として、お客さんを呼びます。日本人はどんな静かなパートでもおとなしく聴かなければなりません（←日本人的には常識ですが・・・）。トンガで太鼓と三味線演奏を観たのを思い出しました。日本人の行動は完全にトンガ人とは違います。

トンガでは静かなパートではおしゃべりをし、おやつをボリボリ食べます。大きな音が出たら立ち上がって大声を出して踊りだします！舞台に乱入して踊る人もいます（笑）。日本人は静かなパートでは、鬼が潜んでいたる気配を感じたり、災いの前触れかも・・・って思ったり何かを想像しますよね・・・。

５月２２日　ヨーロッパ山ネコだぞ

YAMANEKO photos have come from overseas. Thank you so much! This time it came from Europe.

山ネコ写真が世界から届きました。今回はヨーロッパからです。

Akiko is working for Tonga. She helped me a lot when I’m running the abacus competitions. Malo lahi ‘aupito. Toki sio e~.　This time, she traveled around Europe with YAMANEKO.

Akikoさんはトンガで働いており、Torojiro先生がそろばん大会を運営している時、たくさん助けてくれました。色々お世話になりました。また会いましょう。今回はヨーロッパを山ネコを連れて廻っていたようです。

21st May. Solar Eclipse

 ５月２１日　日食だぞ

 

↑A solar eclipse occurred today. Although I watched it clearly with my eyes, I couldn’t take a photo clearly so…

日食がありました。眼ではよく見えましたが、写真がうまく撮れなかったので・・・

↑After the solar eclipse I visited Shiojiri-Education-Center as a business trip for the chief of P.E subject. I have not come here for 4 years, oh time flies…

　日食の後、体育主任の出張で塩尻教育センターを訪れました。４年間来ていませんでした。時間が経つのははやいですね～。

　たくさんの鯉のぼりが泳いでいました。

 

↑After a long time away, I came to this restaurant “Sakura shokudou”. In 1998, when I was a university student, I was in a nearby apartment.

　久し振りにさくら食堂に行きました。１９９８年、大学生の頃、近くのアパートに住んでおりました。

　大学生の為に十分な量があるメニューです。

20th May. Meeting Again

「YAMAGATAN」

５月２０日　ヤマガタンだぞ

 

↑I am in charge of track and field club so I have to lead my students on the competitions 3 times in this school year. It was the first competition today. All of my students did very well.

陸上部の顧問をしております。年に３回陸上大会の引率します。今回は１回目の競技会でした。みんなよくがんばっておりました。

↑This athletic field is very close to Matsumoto airport.

　競技場は松本空港の近くにあります。

 

↑After the competition, I called on Dr. Etsutarou, who is my close JICA friend, at Shiojiri city. He used to be a volunteer in Sri Lanka and is a YAMAGATAN (Yamagata prefecture resident) and is working in Tokyo temporarily. Long time no see! This time he came to Nagano to participate in the JICA event. We ate delicious grilled slices of meat. You should visit Azumino city next time.

　大会の後、塩尻で仲良しJICAボランティアのEtsu博士に会いました。彼はかつてスリランカのボランティアでヤマガタン（山形の人）ですが、今は東京で働いております。お久し振りです！今回はJICAイベントに参加する為に長野に来ました。美味しい焼肉を食べました。次回は安曇野に来てください。

天気が良い日は写真を撮らずにはいられません・・・。安曇野市はとてもキレイな場所です。
